Ingredients:
- 1 lb lean ground beef (90/10)
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp cracked black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 4 cups shredded romaine or iceberg lettuce
- 4 slices sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 medium tomato, diced
- 1/2 cup red onion, finely diced
- 1/2 cup dill pickle slices
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp yellow mustard
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, combine the cold ground beef, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Gently fold the ingredients together and form the meat into four small, slightly flattened patties (about 3/4 inch thick).
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Place the patties in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they do not touch. Cook for 4 minutes.
- Flip the patties using tongs and cook for another 4–6 minutes depending on preferred doneness.
- During the final 60 seconds of cooking, place a slice of sharp cheddar cheese on each patty until melted.
- In a small ramekin, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, yellow mustard, and smoked paprika to create the burger sauce.
- Divide the shredded lettuce evenly among four bowls. Place one cheesy air-fried patty in the center and surround with diced tomatoes, red onions, and pickles.
- Drizzle the prepared burger sauce over the assembled bowl.
