Ingredients:

  • 1 lb lean ground beef (90/10)
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp cracked black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 cups shredded romaine or iceberg lettuce
  • 4 slices sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 medium tomato, diced
  • 1/2 cup red onion, finely diced
  • 1/2 cup dill pickle slices
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine the cold ground beef, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Gently fold the ingredients together and form the meat into four small, slightly flattened patties (about 3/4 inch thick).
  2. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  3. Place the patties in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they do not touch. Cook for 4 minutes.
  4. Flip the patties using tongs and cook for another 4–6 minutes depending on preferred doneness.
  5. During the final 60 seconds of cooking, place a slice of sharp cheddar cheese on each patty until melted.
  6. In a small ramekin, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, yellow mustard, and smoked paprika to create the burger sauce.
  7. Divide the shredded lettuce evenly among four bowls. Place one cheesy air-fried patty in the center and surround with diced tomatoes, red onions, and pickles.
  8. Drizzle the prepared burger sauce over the assembled bowl.
