Ingredients:
- 1 lb Large Shrimp (21/25 count), peeled and deveined
- 1 tbsp Avocado oil
- 1 tsp Cornstarch
- 1.5 tsp Smoked Spanish Paprika
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 0.5 tsp Onion powder
- 0.25 tsp Cayenne pepper
- 0.5 tsp Kosher salt
- 0.25 tsp Cracked black pepper
- 1 tbsp Fresh parsley, minced
Instructions:
- Pat the shrimp extremely dry with paper towels to ensure a crispy texture and prevent steaming.
- In a large mixing bowl, toss the shrimp with the avocado oil until evenly coated to create a sticky surface for the spices.
- Sprinkle the cornstarch, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper (and optional cayenne) over the shrimp. Toss vigorously until a vibrant, orange-red paste forms and the cornstarch is fully integrated.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Arrange the shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 4 minutes, then flip or shake the basket and cook for another 3 minutes until the shrimp reach a 'C' shape and the coating is crispy.
- Garnish with minced fresh parsley and serve immediately.
