Ingredients:

  • 3 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 slices thick-cut brioche or whole grain bread

Instructions:

  1. Whisk the eggs and salt in a shallow bowl until completely smooth.
  2. Slowly stir in the milk, vanilla, maple syrup, and cinnamon. Whisk vigorously for 30 seconds to ensure the cinnamon is fully integrated.
  3. Melt the butter in a non-stick skillet or cast iron pan over medium-low heat until it begins to foam.
  4. Dip each slice of bread into the batter for 5-10 seconds per side.
  5. Place slices in the pan and cook for 3–4 minutes per side until a mahogany-colored crust forms and the center is set.
