Ingredients:

  • 6 whole-grain flatbreads (approx. 6 oz / 170g each)
  • 1 cup low-sugar marinara or pizza sauce
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 cups shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
  • 6 oz thinly sliced pepperoni
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Place flatbreads on the sheet and lightly brush the outer 1/2 inch of the edges with olive oil.
  3. Spoon approximately 2-3 tablespoons of sauce onto the center of each flatbread and spread it toward the edges.
  4. Distribute shredded mozzarella evenly over the sauce and arrange pepperoni slices on top, overlapping slightly.
  5. Bake in the center rack of the oven for 12–15 minutes until the cheese is bubbling and browning and pepperoni edges are crisp.
  6. Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle with dried oregano and red pepper flakes.
