Ingredients:
- 6 whole-grain flatbreads (approx. 6 oz / 170g each)
- 1 cup low-sugar marinara or pizza sauce
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 2 cups shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
- 6 oz thinly sliced pepperoni
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Place flatbreads on the sheet and lightly brush the outer 1/2 inch of the edges with olive oil.
- Spoon approximately 2-3 tablespoons of sauce onto the center of each flatbread and spread it toward the edges.
- Distribute shredded mozzarella evenly over the sauce and arrange pepperoni slices on top, overlapping slightly.
- Bake in the center rack of the oven for 12–15 minutes until the cheese is bubbling and browning and pepperoni edges are crisp.
- Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle with dried oregano and red pepper flakes.
