Ingredients:

  • 3 tbsp (42g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves (6g) garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp (2g) dried parsley
  • 1/4 tsp (1.5g) salt
  • 4 pieces (approx. 85g each) garlic naan or plain naan bread
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) thick pizza sauce or marinara
  • 2 cups (225g) shredded low-moisture mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup (10g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, dried parsley, and salt.
  2. Brush a generous layer of the garlic butter mixture over one side of each naan bread to create a moisture barrier.
  3. Spread 2 tablespoons (30ml) of pizza sauce onto each buttered naan, leaving a 1/2 inch (1.2cm) border around the edge.
  4. Distribute the shredded mozzarella evenly across the sauce, then sprinkle the grated Parmesan on top, ensuring cheese reaches the edges.
  5. Place the pizzas directly on the oven rack for maximum crispness or on a baking sheet. Bake for 8–10 minutes until the cheese is bubbling with golden-brown spots and the edges are mahogany colored.
  6. Alternatively, for an air fryer version, cook at 375°F (190°C) for 5–6 minutes until the edges are shatter-crisp.
