Ingredients:
- 3 tbsp (42g) unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cloves (6g) garlic, minced
- 1 tsp (2g) dried parsley
- 1/4 tsp (1.5g) salt
- 4 pieces (approx. 85g each) garlic naan or plain naan bread
- 1/2 cup (120ml) thick pizza sauce or marinara
- 2 cups (225g) shredded low-moisture mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup (10g) grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, dried parsley, and salt.
- Brush a generous layer of the garlic butter mixture over one side of each naan bread to create a moisture barrier.
- Spread 2 tablespoons (30ml) of pizza sauce onto each buttered naan, leaving a 1/2 inch (1.2cm) border around the edge.
- Distribute the shredded mozzarella evenly across the sauce, then sprinkle the grated Parmesan on top, ensuring cheese reaches the edges.
- Place the pizzas directly on the oven rack for maximum crispness or on a baking sheet. Bake for 8–10 minutes until the cheese is bubbling with golden-brown spots and the edges are mahogany colored.
- Alternatively, for an air fryer version, cook at 375°F (190°C) for 5–6 minutes until the edges are shatter-crisp.
