Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup tomato paste
- 1 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp water
- 4 store bought flatbreads
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
- Fresh basil leaves
Instructions:
- In a small bowl, combine the tomato paste, 1 tbsp olive oil, oregano, garlic powder, and salt. Stir vigorously until the mixture is smooth and velvety.
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Brush the top of each flatbread lightly with 2 tbsp olive oil and place in the oven for 2 minutes until the edges feel firm.
- Remove flatbreads and spread 2 tbsp of the prepared sauce on each, leaving a 1/2 inch border around the edge.
- Evenly distribute the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese over the sauce.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until the cheese is bubbling and has developed small, golden-brown charred spots.
- Remove from oven and immediately top with fresh basil leaves.
