Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (125g) self-rising flour
  • 1 cup (245g) plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tbsp (28g) melted butter
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 pinch fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, stir together the self-rising flour and Greek yogurt using a spoon.
  2. Mix until a shaggy, clumpy dough forms; stop mixing as soon as the flour streaks disappear to avoid toughness.
  3. Lightly flour your surface and knead the dough gently for 30–60 seconds just until it becomes a smooth ball.
  4. Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces.
  5. Roll each piece into a ball, then use a rolling pin to flatten them into circles about 1/4 inch thick.
  6. Ensure there is a light coating of flour on both sides to prevent sticking to the pan.
  7. Place a skillet over medium-high heat without adding oil.
  8. Lay one flatbread in the pan and cook for 1–2 minutes until bubbles form on the surface and the bottom is golden-brown.
  9. Flip the bread over and cook for another 1–2 minutes.
  10. Immediately brush with the garlic butter mixture while the bread is still steaming.
