Ingredients:

  • 16 oz frozen sweet peas
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, cubed small
  • 6 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1/3 cup red onion, finely diced
  • 1 cup full-fat mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Place the frozen peas in a fine-mesh strainer and run under cold water until just thawed. Spread the peas onto a baking sheet lined with paper towels and pat them completely dry.
  2. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sour cream, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper until the mixture is completely smooth and the sugar has dissolved.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the dried peas, cubed cheddar, crumbled bacon, and diced red onion.
  4. Pour the dressing over the ingredients and gently fold with a spatula until evenly coated.
  5. Transfer to a sealed container and chill for at least one hour before serving.
