Ingredients:

  • 12-16 large fresh mint leaves
  • 2 tbsp simple syrup
  • 1 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 1.5 cups sparkling water
  • 3 cups crushed ice
  • 4 fresh mint sprigs
  • 2 lime wheels

Instructions:

  1. Place glasses or metal cups in the freezer for at least 30 minutes to ensure a frosty finish.
  2. Divide the mint leaves, simple syrup, and lime juice evenly between the chilled glasses.
  3. Use a muddler to press down lightly 3-4 times on the mint leaves until a strong aroma is released; do not shred the leaves.
  4. Fill the glasses to the brim with crushed ice and pack it down firmly with a spoon.
  5. Slowly pour the sparkling water over the ice.
  6. Using a long spoon, gently lift the mint and syrup from the bottom through the ice, stirring only 2-3 times to preserve carbonation.
  7. Top with an extra handful of crushed ice to create a snowy dome and garnish with a mint sprig and a lime wheel.
